It seems that rumors are some strange way of having fun. Or, who knows?, maybe there’s something tricky in spreading this kind of rumors about Sony or Microsoft’s cutting or not cutting their video game consoles’ prices. It has first been Sony that has been rumored of planning to cut the price of its PlayStation 3; after some hours of a total haze of rumors and official denials the company has finally announced the cut in price, officially. And then it has been Microsoft’s turn! But the American company hasn’t followed the same plan as Sony and has announced that it has no plans of cutting its Xbox 360’s price. The company has also said that it is confident its video game console’s price is just right and also that the upcoming games will be more than enough for keeping the gamers interested in. However, denying could be just another trick, if one notices Sony’s example. After the rumors spread, the Japanese company has started to vehemently deny the cut in price for PlayStation, but just yesterday the same company has announced the same cut in price for the video game console. So, the only questions that arouse are whether Microsoft will follow Sony’s example or whether its upcoming games are really that powerful! However, Microsoft has also said that an updated Xbox 360 Elite console will be launching in the United Kingdom the month to come. Its rival Sony has also announced an 80GB version of its PlayStation 3 for the United States in the same context. So, what’s next? Nintendo’s being rumored of “free-selling” Wii?
