There is hope! If you're the proud owner of a console and you're Warhammer fan, there is hope for you.
And you got that from this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo from the developer of the massively multiplayer Warhammer Online game, which is Mythic Entertainment.
Now, the company revealed it had a version of the upcoming PC game running on the Xbox 360. Oh joy, but unfortunately Mythic didn't quite confirm that the game was ready or at least a project for the to Microsoft's platform. But then again, Electronic Arts recently purchased Mythic, so from here can result a console version for all you gamers.
In an interview with the trade site GamesIndustry.biz, the general manager Ron Moravek of Relic Entertainment said that there is a possibility of bringing some of the company's real-time strategy games, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and the upcoming military-themed Company of Heroes to new platforms, but they wait to see how Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle-earth II is doing.
"We're watching Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle-earth II going to 360 very closely. Because if it's successful, I think there's a good chance we could bring Company of Heroes and even Dawn of War over", said Moravek making reference to the recent console port of another fantasy RTS game.
Then, he was asked about Relic's preference between the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. But he said that he hadn't seen enough of the PS3 to form a preference, but that Relic will definitely support them both.
