As we approach the end of 2007 releases, more and more games are getting out of Uncharted’s way. Grand Theft Auto IV and Too Human are officially delayed until 2008, and there are unconfirmed reports that Turning Point: Fall of Liberty and Mercenaries 2: World in Flames are being pushed back to next year. And Unreal Tournament 3's November launch window is looking uncertain.
But with all of this, one game that definitely isn't getting delayed is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Sony reports have confirmed that the PlayStation 3-exclusive action adventure will be shipped in North America on the 20th of November. That puts the game in direct competition with the Xbox 360-exclusive role-playing game Mass Effect.
Uncharted is developed by creator of Jak and Daxter, Naughty Dog and it follows the adventures of a treasure hunter who believes that he is the descendent of the famous explorer Sir Francis Drake. In order to restore fame and fortune to his family's name, he sets about island-hopping in the Caribbean to find the fabled, gold-packed city of El Dorado. Complications ensue when his seaplane crashes and he finds himself stranded on a remote isle crawling with ruthless, heavily armed mercenaries.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune hasn’t been rated by ESRB yet.
