EA will release a graphical expansion, just before the games 10th anniversary. The legendary game designer Richard Garriott changed the online gaming in 1997 with Ultima Online. Although in the beginning it was attacked by critics for its technical issues, the game managed to hang on and improve, releasing seven expansions and winning the hearts (and money) of thousands of players.
Just a month before its 10th anniversary, Electronic Arts, presented the games most drastic modification ‘till now with Ultima Online: Kingdom Reborn. The expansion is free to download for the game’s subscribers, but Ultima Online requires a $12.99 monthly subscription fee.
While you may not consider it a proper expansion, Kingdom Reborn offers a new graphics engine that improves the game’s visual quality, as well as a new user interface. Kingdom Reborn will also introduce contend made for helping new players to enter the story of the massively multiplayer online game.
Ultima Online is rated T for Teen. EA is now offering a free 14-day trial of the game so that players can get a look at the update. The game's latest full expansion, Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss will go live later this year.
