The radical downsizing of the E3 Expo has left the Leipzig Games Convention among the biggest gaming shows in the world. GC is growing larger by the year, and later this month - between August 23-27 - a new edition will gather some of the top gaming publishers (we're especially looking forward to Nintendo's Wii announcements... whatever they may turn out to be). One such publisher is Ubisoft, and their freshly announced public line-up includes titles such as Dark Messiah, Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Call of Juarez, among others listed below:
- Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (PC, Fall 2006)
- Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Xbox 360, Fall 2006)
- Call of Juarez (PC, September 2006)
- The Settlers II: The Next Generation (PC, September 2006)
- The Settlers (Nintendo DS, Fall 2006)
- Horsez (PC, end of 2006)
- Open Season (PS2, November 2006 in Europe) Of particular interest will be Arkane's Dark Messiah action game, which visitors will be able to play for the first time in the "Crusade" multiplayer mode, on 18 computers set up in the Netzstatt Gaming League booth. Call of Juarez will also be playable in multiplayer at GC 2006, on 8 computers which will be set up at the same booth.
Ubisoft will also be showing several other titles behind closed doors, such as Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, and a couple of Wii games: Rayman Raving Rabbids and Red Steel.
