If you loved The Witcher – the game, I mean – than you’re bound to be looking forward to its Enhanced Edition which CD Projeckt REDE prepares this September. Man, I really like talking about games which aren’t to be released in 2009 or 2010, but in a matter of days. It makes the waiting so much easier to bear.
Don’t expect some sort of add-on. This is mainly a version of the game which was purged of all the somewhat nasty imperfections of the original one. For instance, the dialogues had some serious lingual bugs, so to speak. This time, not only are they fixed, but the game comes in multiple languages.
So, let us see exactly what we can reap from this enhanced thingy (according to CVG): new adventures (but not too many), a map editor, a music CD inspired by the game’s veil of dark fantasy, a short story, a game guide, a DVD telling us how it was all made possible and – rumor has it – some sort of Geralt toy. Hm. Fetishy.
