The so known HBO mafia movie will make its way up to the gamers consoles. So if you're a fan of the Sopranos and a gamer, this will sound very appealing to you.
The adaptation from the movie The Godfather brought to us by Electronic Art seemed for a while a best choice for our consoles this fall. But that pretty much changed in May at the E3. That's because THQ announced they would release an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 game that will be based on the hit HBO crime drama The Sopranos. The game will be possibly available at the end of the year.
But today, THQ revealed that they told the developer of the Sopranos for the Xbox 360 Sopranos to drop the project. Seems THQ has some financial problems. "Amortization of 18 percent was up three points versus the prior year quarter. This is primarily due to our decision to discontinue development of the Sopranos for Xbox 360. There is no change to our plans to replace it, but we will release it on PS2 during the holiday season", said Edward K. Zinser.
The Sopranos game is being developed by the same studio who made the game adaptation of the Fantastic 4 movie, studios called "7 Studios". They just-released Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow, another film tie-in.
