
This shouldn't come as a surprise, giving the fact that Microsoft's current gaming system was the proud flag carrier of its (next) generation, for some time. It seems that the company simply can miss the terms of another strong comeback. According to a declaration posted on a UK games site, named Kikizo, Chris Lewis from Microsoft, admited that some preliminary work is already under way, and the company plans to further engage in a conclusive developing process for its next next-generation console, while motivating their actions, by revealing the main reason: "we have to".
But for the time being, things must be kept under strict "surveillance". "You'll see more over time - certainly we're not talking about the next version yet", Lewis concluded.
