First of all, I must outline the fact that such a list, no matter the extra information provided, is going to be open to debates. Nothing wrong with that, it should prove interesting enough for most of us to see how those entitled to make such comparison, place our beloved games in the "mix". At this point, we could point our forefinger towards Next-Gen. The list of the "The Top 100 PC Games of the 21st Century" was compiled with the aid of the following criterions:
- Stats, ordering and research;
- Game rankings according the units sold and the generated revenue;
- In case of a tie, game rankings according to Gameranking average review scores;
- Game rankings according to the highest selling SKU only;
- This list only features games released since January 2000 for Windows PC;
- Compendiums of older PC games and shareware are not included in the list;
- 21st century precursors or sequels do not affect overall placing;
- Revenues from subcriptions are not taken into account.
Don't worry, I'm not going to list all 100 titles, just a mere selection of the top 3 "worst" games and top 3 "high rated" ones. Enjoy:
