Just today, Activision announced that Spider-Man: Battle for New York will be relesed for the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance. The game is developed by the Australia-based Torus Games, same who made Fantastic 4 for the GBA. Even so, the title has not yet been rated or priced, but it is knows that it will be released this fall.
Unlike other Spiderman games, this title will let gamers play as either the normal superhero or they can choose the Spiderman in his nemesis armor. The gamers will have to save and destroy New York City, by using gravity-defying acrobatics, missile and web attacks. The game will also have some role-playing elements. This feature will allow the players to customize their villain or hero with various powers.
The gameplay on the DS will have the advantage of the handheld's touch-sensitive screen. Its Wi-Fi connectivity, will allow for head-to-head ad hoc multiplayer battles.
