Spark Unlimited is ready to leave the battlefields of World War II and try to do something new. Still, no name or plot for the game has been revealed yet, but its new publisher said that the Spark team will try its hand with a modern setting. Spark is also the developer of Call of Duty: Finest Hour and has on its board many veterans from the Medal of Honor series.
The new game will be actually the first collaboration between Spark and Sierra Entertainment, which is owned by Vivendi. The company has announced that it is bringing the title to next-gen consoles. Still, any kind of details about plot and gameplay were not told, just that the game will be based on a new intellectual property.
Still, the news come as a surprise, because in March Atari was announcing that is had entered "an exclusive agreement...for worldwide publishing rights across all media to all future titles developed by the award-winning creative team at Spark Unlimited."
And that time Vivendi said it would give more details about its Spark title by the end of the year and everybody could expect a 2007 shipping date for the new project.
Still, neither Atari, nor Vivendi, nor Spark returned the press request for comments.
