The long expected shooter The Club, from Bizarre Creations, will make its debut on Microsoft's online service tomorrow, at 9 AM, through a demo. However, only Europeans and Australians will be able to download it, of course, if they have an Xbox 360 and an Internet connection (d'oh...).
The demo will include the first level of the game, called The Prison ("a disused crumbling, tomb-like Federal Penitentiary, lying in a remote region of one of the less glamorous Rustbelt states"), an Xbox Live-exclusive playable character dubbed Renwick ("a tough, no nonsense, NYPD Detective whose investigations brought him too close to The Club"), the possibility to split the screen for two players and two single-player modes ("Sprint" and "Time Attack").
SEGA said that the players will experience the ruthlessness of The Club first hand, and will get the chance to see what it means to fight for your own survival with other people. Some of the opponents are there against their will, some are there just for the ultimate potion of adrenaline, but in the end what matters is to kill. As skilfully and quickly as possible.
The game will launch across Europe for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on February 8. A demo for PlayStation 3 owners is already available on PSN.
