Game News - Ronaldinho On The FIFA 07 Cover

It's time for the international soccer stars to be once again on the cover of Electronic Arts' FIFA 07. The publisher announced today that it has signed seven soccer stars to appear on the cover of the upcoming sports game. FIFA 07 will start shipping on October 3.

The players that will appear on the cover will be determined by region. Even so, one athlete will get the chance to be on all covers. Brazil's star, Ronaldinho, who plays professionally for FC Barcelona, will be the center piece of every cover. He was featured on the cover of FIFA 06, is the two-time FIFA player of the year and also a big fan of EA's FIFA franchise.

In North America on the cover together with Ronaldinho will appear LA Galaxy star Landon Donovan and Mexico's Francisco Fonseca. Other stars that will levitate around the Brazilian player will be Manchester United's Wayne Rooney in the UK, Bayern Munich's Lukas Podolski in Germany, Valencia's David Villa in Spain, and Olympique Lyonnais's Juninho Pernambucano in France.

And another piece of good news from EA: the publisher announced the extension of its licensing deals with two professional soccer leagues. EA manage to extend a deal until the 2010-2011 season. EA got an extension for its partnership with the Mexican First Division League.

FIFA 07 will hit the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, Game Boy Advance, and PC.
