In a landmark agreement with Valve Software, the guys behind Manhunt or GTA have decided to make their PC catalogue available through Steam, at prices that would make even an unemployed toddler smash his piggy bank.
The "oldies, but goodies" now emanating from Steam include GTA 1,2 and 3, GTA San Andreas and Vice City, Wild Metal, Manhunt 1, Midnight Club and the two highly-acclaimed Max Payne titles released so far (by the way, Rockstar, where's my Max Payne 3?...). The whole package is a bargain, costing $53.95 if you acquire it in the first week of availability. Titles are also sold separately, but all of them will cost you $79.65.
"Rockstar Games brings some of most viscerally engaging games the industry has ever witnessed to Steam's expansive library of titles," said Steam business director Jason Holtman in an announcement heralding the addition. "We're delighted to provide a place where gamers across the globe can discover all the fine work Rockstar Games has produced."
Now who's gonna tell me that Max Payne isn't worth a mere 20 bucks? Huh? Go grab them here while you still can. However, be advised when downloading from Steam that some countries forbid access to certain titles. It is Australia's case, where downloading Manhunt is impossible, but considering laws in Germany, the same might happen there too. Anyway, you can always go to Rockstar's Classics site and download them from there.
