After last night's unfortunate loss against Italy in the World Cup semi-finals, the Germans have probably had it with football for a while. But hopefully they'll recover by August 23rd, when Pro Evolution Soccer 6 will make its first public showing on the Xbox 360, at GCDC 2006 in Leipzig - Europe's "ultimate gaming convention". The five-day event will be host to a series of other Konami next-gen product debuts, as well, in addition to Pro Evolution Soccer 6, though the publisher has yet to reveal the titles in question. My guess is, Bomberman Act: Zero, Coded Arms Assault, Hellboy, and of course Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots may be among them.
For now, the only sure thing is that Konami will be showing the new version of its famous football-simulation for the first time on a next generation format, and one of the gey guests to present PES 6 to expectant crowds will be the legendary Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka, the head of Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer team.
Not long ago, Brazilian striker Adriano was announced to have signed for the cover of Pro Evolution Soccer 6, which will hit stores in Autumn on PC DVD, PlayStation 2, PSP and, for the the first time ever, on Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 also has a number of new teams licensed for inclusion, with the International roster now featuring the official kits for Argentina, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Sweden. Details on official club teams and more national squads will follow.
