The studio that made Star Wars: Empire at War and Universe at War: Earth Assault is hiring massively multiplayer online designers for an upcoming project.
Las Vegas-based developer Petroglyph is well known for its real-time strategy games. They made Star Wars: Empire at War and its expansion for Lucas Arts, and the upcoming Universe at War: Earth Assault for SEGA. The studio has a very experienced development team, with credits on other RTS blockbuster games like Command & Conquer series and Civilization III and Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty.
However, it looks like Petroglyph is looking for a bit of a change; as Firing Squad spotted today a job add posted by the studio in which they say that they are looking for a proven designer of massively multiplayer online games.
According to the job add, "The MMO Game Designer is responsible for understanding, refining, maintaining, the game design vision, game design, mission building, gameplay balancing, and game proposal development of a massive multiplayer online game."
"Petroglyph is looking for to hire people with at least three years of experience in the field and at least one completed and shipped MMO game to their credit. The ideal candidate must also be "an avid gamer with strong interest in pushing the industry forward creatively."
