10tacle Studios and Deck 13 have announced that a four-levels demo for the point'n'click adventure Jack Keane is online and ready for download.
The full game is set for release on March 8 this year, only in European countries (UK, Ireland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg) and Middle East. North American gamers will get their copy of the game more than a month later, on April 15.
Jack Keane is a funny point'n'click adventure game developed by German studio Deck 13 and published by renowned company 10Tacle.
"After a hastily enforced departure from London, Jack quickly finds himself on the strangest of assignments on behalf of The Crown. He is sent to liaise with a British secret agent in Capetown and to ferry him to a mysterious island in the Indian Ocean. “Easy money”, thinks the swashbuckling Captain Keane, yet nothing is ever quite what it seems. Suddenly, he finds himself plunged into a mind-boggling adventure facing off against carnivorous plants, battling an army of crazed apes, encountering a beautiful and morally ambiguous bounty hunter named Amanda, and ultimately taking on the evil mad scientist Dr. T to decide the fate of the British Empire."
Deck 13's title contains numerous allusions and ironies, and makes fun of lots of famous movies and videogames, but remains focused on the adventure side of the plot.
