The Finnish telecom behemoth has finally relaunched its N-Gage platform, but unfortunately only N-series owners will get to enjoy it.
Currently, the list of compatible devices with the N-Gage platform includes N81, N82, N95, N93 and N73 phones. Of course, all of them support high-speed 3G connectivity.
All you have to do if you've got one of the aforementioned handhelds is go www.n-gage.com and download the N-Gage First Access software you'll find there. This will give you, well... access to some cool features thatNokia has been crafting, like the possibility to download games for free (but only in trial mode), or to add games to your own personal collection and see what your stats are on the "portable competitions"leaderboards.
Games available for download are scarce and the list includes very few high-profile names (Asphalt 3: Street Rules, Snakes Subsonic , The Sims 2 Pets and Brothers in Arms), but Nokia will most certainly enlarge the software library as the service takes off.
