
Xbox Live Arcade has been one of the system's biggest success stories, since the Xbox 360 that was launched last November. Microsoft said that they did not see the popularity of the service. Xbox Live Arcade allows gamers to download retro games and smaller-scale new titles for their system for smaller prices.
Now Microsoft what's to do a little experiment and is going to launch the same content, to see if it will be as popular if it's presented to consumers in a different format.
A worldwide September 5 release was announced by the publisher for Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged, which is a collection of original XBLA titles. The compilation will cost $39.99 and will include a free one-month subscription to Xbox Live Gold and a few demos.
The Unplugged consists in games like Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, Wik: Fable of Souls, Outpost Kaloki X, Bejeweled 2 Deluxe, and a pair of classic diversions like, Hardwood Backgammon and Texas Hold 'Em. The demos: Uno, Feeding Frenzy, and Marble Blast Ultra.
All the games are rated E for Everyone, except Texas Hold'Em rated T for Teen.
