Do you remeber Lost Planet: Extreme Condition? Yeah, the pretty-looking game ported onto the PC which had Xbox 360-controller buttons in the option menu, instead of keyboard buttons... It's going to be continued.
After being ported on all possible next-gen platforms (first the PC, then the PlayStation 3) the ex-"Xbox 360 exclusive" will enjoy some sort of continuation, dubbed Lost Planet Colonies, whose aggregation state we don't know yet. Whether it'll be an add-on, an expansion pack or simply a downloadable-content pack, we'll just have to wait and see. Capcom has confirmed to Computerandvideogames.com that an official announcement will be made this week.
Until then, we can offer you some details that have "transpired" on the Web, which were posted on the GameTrailers.com forum. According to the info there, there will be some achievements to unlock, of course differentiated by the difficulty on which the game is played. Previous information (from July 2007) indicated that Lost Planet Colonies would arrive on the Xbox 360 and the PC in January 2008 at a price of 29,99EUR (indicating an add-on rather than an expansion pack).
It remains to be seen what happens this week, when the new colonies will (hopefully) be unveiled.
