If you thought that levelling was happening much too slowly in Lineage II, you’ll have to revise that opinion. Because NCsoft intends to greatly increase the speed at which you increase your character’s level by means of a thingamagic called Vitality.
This patch will probably come with the Garcia – Part 1 update on September 19. Anyway, the Vitality thing isn’t really a novelty; actually, it works in a way similar to World of Warcraft’s rest experience – adding experience bonuses after spending time in a non-game dimension, preferably, Reality.
Those who will create a new character will get a maximum Vitality bonus, but it would be reasonable for already existing ones to be rewarded as well. NCSoft also has other improvements in mind, in fact, there’s quite a plethora of them, if you’ll excuse my language. We’re talking about boosts made to quest rewards, boss loot, new skills and items and stuff like that. The highly priced collectible items won’t be so inaccessible as before – eve if that will take away some of their charm. And, of course, the Garcia update is all abut exploring Kamaloka and confronting some nasty dudes who reside there – it seems they will be tuned so as to match your level.
So, if you’re into Lineage II, you’ll want to be into it even more. Who knows, maybe some higher power will patch Reality and a normal day will get an extra 5 hours.
