
Besides announcing the PS3 GT5 packs available in Europe this month, Sony has also confirmed the number and type (no, not the license plates) of automobiles featured in its upcoming racing title.
According to Sony more than 71 vehicles from renowned motor companies will be available on March 26, including the hard-to-obtain Ferrari 599, but also Nissan GT-R, Honda INTEGRA TYPE R (DC5), Dodge VIPER GTS, BMW M3, Aston Martin DB9 Coupe, Subaru IMPREZA WRX STI or Lotus Elise 111R.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Polyphony Digital will release GT 5 Prologue simultaneously on Blu Ray disc and as a download on PlayStation Network at the end of this month, for an estimated price of €39.99. The game will be bundled, as previously announced, with a 40GB PlayStation 3 console and a wireless SIXAXIS controller, all for just under €400.
New tracks have also been announced, including the Eiger Nordwand; the Daytona International Speedway; the London City Track; the Fuji Speedway, Suzuka and the High Speed Ring. The game also boasts with highly-detailed graphics, realistic physics and enhanced AI, for tougher challenges.
For the first time in the history of the franchise, online multiplayer will be available, with up to 16 players allowed to race head-to-head on PlayStation Network. Here's the complete list of features:
