Reports over the last few days are hinting at a slightly delayed launch for Piranha Bytes' upcoming RPG sequel. October 13 is apparently Gothic 3's new release date, according to the August 2006 issue of the PC Power Play magazine, and the GOCOO music group's website - who will be contributing to the game's soundtrack.
Right now, there's no official word on this matter from either JoWooD or Piranha Bytes, but seeing how the October 13 date comes from two completely different sources, I'd say it's quite plausible.
But fans need not despair; at least, if they can get themselves to Leipzig at the end of August. The next issue of the German GameStar magazine is reporting that Gothic 3 will be playable at the Leipzig Games Convention 2006, wich will be taking place between 24-27 August. And from the game's official website, we learn that the Convention's opening concert (performed live by a symphony orchestra) will also feature two themes from the Gothic 3 soundtrack.
