French media began speculating soon after Rockstar's announcement that GTA IV will debut on consoles on April 29 that the PC version of the game will arrive on stores' shelves this fall.
For example, French gaming site Jeuxpo.com says that the highly-anticipated sequel will get its PC installment sometimes in October, and cites "resellers" as sources for that info.
Here's the translation for the article:
"A long time has passed since the Grand Theft Auto series arrived on the PCs, since the debut on San Andreas in 2005. According to resellers' plans, computers will not be forgotten [when it comes to] GTA IV, the title being scheduled for a next October release in Europe."
Computerandvideogames.com, also commenting on the rumor, says that in the past it usually took Rockstar 6 to 8 months to release the PC version of GTA games, so it might not be that far-fetched to consider a PC GTA IV as a plausible option (yeah, they also win more money, right?). We put our dogs to sniff around on Amazon, EB Games or GameStop but we couldn't find anything to confirm this beyond doubt.
Anyway, just to quench your thirst in the mean time we've added a batch of new screenshots from the game.
