Some inquisitive guys have scanned the latest fillings on FCC's site and have come up with what appears to be the first evidence of a white PlayStation 3 destined to American gamers.
The white PS3, whose photos are located here, is already on sale in Japan and has identically colored controllers. But the only model currently on sale in the US is the "traditional" Piano Black.
Soon that might change if Sony steps on the path previously established by Microsoft, with its Xbox 360 Elite. However, while the Elite gaming rig is at the "top of the food chain" in the Xbox 360 "triumvirate", the white PS3 allegedly arriving in the US seems to be the ordinary 40GB console with 2 USB ports in the front, no card reader and the stylish, pearl casing that can also be found on newly launched PSPs.
Although the official confirmation for the arrival has not yet obtained green light, the FCC documents clearly betray Sony's intention to enrich its console-arsenal in the most profitable gaming market in the world.
All we ask for now is just more good games rather than beautifully colored consoles...
