Even if Duke Nukem Forever still has no launch date announced, the guys over at 3D Realms are already planning to make a Duke Nukem movie. Well, at least this proves that they’re serious about delivering the game or something like that.
Scott Faye, producer of soon to be released Max Payne movie, was chosen by the gaming company to translate the Duke Nukem concept into cinematography – but that’s just too fancy a way to talk about an idea that could put a serious bulge in 3D Realms’s pockets. Here’s what Scott Faye had to say (to Kotaku) about this whole thing: "I'm working diligently at making a Duke Nukem movie scenario that will live up to the character and its import in the videogame world. As is the case with all of my game adaptations, I'd rather not make the movie than make a poor adaptation."
Well, we should give the man some credit; after all, it seems he invested ten years of work into preparing Max Payne for the movie environment. We’ll see exactly how much his word is worth on November 14th, when said Max Payne hits the big screens. Meanwhile, this very month, we’re supposed to get an upgraded version of Duke Nukem 3D for Xbox Live and PC from 3D Realms. They’d better deliver.
