Although the Xbox 360 had nowhere near "spectacular" sales figures in Japan, the console is selling through healthy numbers in the North American territory. Microsoft's initial shipments for Capcom's Dead Rising, are targeted at 450,000 copies, with total shipments estimated at 800,000. Given the numbers, the benefits for both companies could extend over a much longer period of time.
The analysts at NikkoCitiGroup reveals the fact that this indicates a strong demand for Dead Rising and also shows potential success for the marketing tactic of downloadable demos via Xbox Live as well as positive reforms at Capcom's US division.
Analysts further speculate that we'll see more PS3 exclusive games, such as Devil May Cry 4 and Monster Hunter, come to the Xbox 360, at least in the United States and Canada. These news are not willing to brighten up Sony's future expectactions.
