   Another day has passed, another announcement stirs up the gaming press. A declaration posted on the Darwinia website states that the PC global wargame called DEFCON, has entered its gold stage, offering as an "undeniable proof", one photo depicting the gold master disk. An official confirmation immediately came from Introversion, which assured the fans that they won't have to wait too long to "bring destruction upon Earth", as the game will be available to download right from the developer's online store, starting Friday, for a mere sum of $17.50.

   Here is the official statement:

"After a staggering Five Months worth of beta testing, Defcon has finally gone gold. The master disk has been produced, checked, and sent away for manufacturing. The downloads are ready. We are on schedule for launch at 6.00pm GMT, Friday 29th September. It's all rather exciting."
