For a game literally immense like Crysis, it's impossible not to have some stupid AI which runs amok in the most hilarious way possible. Well, playtime's over fellaz, cause the guys behind the CryMod community have flexed their muscles and are ready to bestow upon our mortal souls the first patch for Crytek's highly-praised shooter. It's true, this is not an official patch (it comes from the CryENGINE 2 modding community, not Crytek themselves), but it's better than nothing.
Alexander Marschal (aka CryAlex), Crytek Community Manager, reassures us that...nothing is certain yet and that he'll let us know when the craved patch will be rolled out. However, what he can tell us for sure is that the update is not a major one (d'oh, the game barely got out...) and that it addresses the improvement of the "overall performance." Hm, I wonder what kind of performance improvements does CryAlex have in mind, considering that almost any computer these days enters in crysis when you set everything to maximum.
Anyway, the update will also include some lines of code for the multi-player module (which in my opinion is quite disappointing), addressing some issues with the "grenade balance" and "LAW adjustments".
Anyway, we won't see the patch out in the wild before Cry-modders make sure it won't screw things up even worse for those super-intelligent AI...
