Game News - Blazing Angels: Secret Missions Announced For PC And Xbox 360

Ubisoft's Romanian studio is currently working on a follow-up to their aerial action game Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII. This may not come as a novelty to some, however Ubi is now offering us more details about this project, which is already preparing to land in stores this spring. Its title is Blazing Angels: Secret Missions, and the only platforms confirmed so far are the PC and the Xbox 360. Should there be a PS3 and a Wii version, the recipe would be complete (although we're still waiting for the first Blazing Angels on the Wii).

As implied by the game's title, Secret Missions will focus on the lesser known aspects of the second world war (real of fictional, we'll see), giving players secret airplane prototypes armed with advanced weapons, and sending them in elite missions in the skies above Paris, Rome, Moscow, Cairo, and all the way to the peaks of Himalayas. Here's a bit more about the scenario of Blazing Angels: Secret Missions:
"Blazing Angels Secret Missions shows World War II from a different perspective - that of an elite pilot who is part of a secret team. In the game, the player will undertake some of the most dangerous missions in exotic locations all over the globe. As an elite pilot, the player goes from one great adventure to another, while battling the most lethal experimental weapons of the Third Reich. The squad's mission is to prevent the ultimate weapon from being built. To help players in this quest, they have at their disposal an assortment of highly experimental aircraft and weaponry. Blazing Angels Secret Missions comes straight out of the history books of World War II's most top secret projects."    Among the rest of the gameplay features listed in our gamespace, we note the addition of two new multiplayer modes - "Capture the Flag" and "Epic Battle" - alongside the previous options from the first part.

And speaking of which, in this first quarter of 2007 we also expect to see the release of Blazing Angels: Squadrons of (W)WII for the Wii, since it missed the post-launch period for Nintendo's new console at the end of last year.
