Ubisoft must be counting in fortunes these days: according to VGChartz.com the Crusades-inspired title has touched the 2 million units sold landmark and it has no intention to stop.
The aforementioned site estimates that Assassin's Creed has sold more than 2,05 million units worldwide, with the US being by far the leader. Jade Raymond's new franchise is trailed by high-profile names like PES 2008 (1.23 million units), FIFA 2008 (1.08 million), Uncharted Drake's Fortune (1.05 million) and Need for Speed ProStreet (0.95 million). In front of AC are Call of Duty (2.19 million units), Resistance Fall of Man (2.29 million), and MotorStorm (2.66 million).Clearly, Assassin's Creed is the most succesful new IP launched last year, and that's the reason for which Ubisoft's profits skyrocketed during the Christmas shoppins season.
