Game News - Assasin’s Creed is close

After Ubisoft finished the “Prince of Persia” sequel, the guys there started working again and they came up with a new and revolutionary game that will change the world of gaming as we know it. The story in “Assassin’s Creed” takes place during the third crusade in the year 1191. The player assumes the role of Altair, a member of the Hashshashin sect (the original "assassins") whose objective is to assassinate the nine historical figures who are propagating the crusade.

As the player kills these targets, their conspiracy is unveiled.
The player will be able to travel through three cities: Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus. The surroundings and the environment are fully interactive. The player has total freedom of movement. The main focus of the game is the “social stealth” concept (the ability to blend in with a crowd).
The producers are bragging with the historically accurate cities as well as the nine leaders (though they were not necessarily assassinated).
As far as the weaponry goes Altair carries a number of highly specialized weapons for his role as an assassin. The weaponry includes: a sword, a small crossbow, but the weapon that blows your mind off is a mechanical dagger that retracts to avoid notice.
Jade Raymond has stated that the player will be able to unlock new abilities (improved boots that have better grip for climbing and climbing gloves)
All of these sound and look great in the trailers, but we’ll have to wait till November so we can see if the game reaches our expectations.

Assassin’s Creed is rated by ESRB as M for a mature audience and will be sold $119.95 for PS2, the Xbox 360 versions is at $109.95, and the PC will be sold for $89.95.
