Even if the days of a single joystick with a lone button may be so out of fashion, Activision says that the appeal of games that use simple controls isn't. "Activision Hits Remixed" was announced today by the publisher, a collection of Activision classics that will be release for PSP.
The compilation is scheduled for release this fall. It will include more than 40 Activision games from the classic console such as the vine-swinging, alligator-stomping, scorpion-jumping Pitfall! Kaboom!, Chopper Command, Stampede, and Keystone Kapers.
There will be some game that have the multiplayer mode and those can be play by either taking turns on one PSP, playing games over the handheld's wireless capabilities, or competing in two-player matches over two PSPs and this with just one UMD disc by using the game-sharing feature.
Activision also sayd that the collection will feature "modernized front-end graphics".
