More salary cap reductions
In franchise mode choose that you can edit rookies. At the time you are drafting in the off-season you getr back to the menu, go to ESPN and edit a rookie from the position you need, immediatly after this, you goo and draft that player. When it is the Rookie signing period sign for more than 5 years and their salary will not be a big deal. This will give you 6 or 7 season with very good and cheap players. Also trade players for low picks, and edit the rookie. The lower you draft the lower they will ask for salary. Just remeber RB are alway taken by the 3rd round.

Move the Analog-stick in the direction of the shot to the net; put that to the goalie. When the referee drops the puck, press Circle instead of X. The goalie will not be expecting it, and it will go into the net.
Players never retireTo make it so your players never retire in franchise mode, go to the roster and press Triangle (edit player). Then, set his age to whatever desired.
