Kill heros, easy!
Platform: PC

Create a hero and give them the assaintate ability and diguise abbility for its first 2 levels [other powers dont matter]. now train your custom hero and purchase a group of swordsmen and disguise your hero as 1 of them so he will not be targeted and then you can assainate any enemy hero that approachs.

Ring Heroes:
Platform: PC

Every map in skirmish or multi-player mode has Gollum cloaked on it. When you find Gollum, kill him and you will get the ring. Take it back to your fortress and have the troop that is carrying the ring enter the fortress in order to recruit a Ring Hero for 9,000 resources. Your Ring Hero uses no command points. Men, Elves and Dwarves can recruit Galadriel. Mordor, Isengard, and Goblins can recruit Sauron. The easiest way to get the ring is to let an enemy find Gollum then kill them after they obtain the ring. The only way to stop them before they reach their base is to chase them down with a mounted unit, have a created hero teleport into their path, or to summon allies into their path using a power.

Defeating large groups of enemies:
Platform: PC

Have a lot of defensive structures in your base and teleport the opponents to your base. The towers should kill the enemies before they can do much damage. The Convert spell will also work, because they are free men.

Grey Havens:
Platform: PC

Start at the bottom-most part. Build as many resource collectors as possible. Then, capture the Shipright. Get Builders to build Wall Hubs where the Cave Trolls lair is found (kill it first). Build a wall. Then, build units and an upgrade structure. Get your units upgraded as much as possible. Put some by the wall to defend it. Send the rest to the Shipright. Build the number of transports needed. Put the units by the Shipright onto the transports. Send the transports to the enemy camp. Optionally, split your units up and surround the camp. Destroy all the structures except for the fortress. Finally, destroy the fortress.

General strategies:
Platform: PC

Do not just rush your opponent's territory. Either send in a camo capable unit or a very cheap, weak unit such as Orc Warriers. Scope out your opponent's base before attacking with stronger units

When attacking, use melee soldiers so attack buildings and use Bowmen and Cavalry on enemy units.

Invincible Troll:
Platform: PC

Kill a Troll while it is still coming out of the Troll Cage. It will be invincible. It will freeze where it is, and you will still be able to shoot at it. You can still gain power points from shooting it. Eventually, it will unfreeze and attack any enemies.

Indestructable Archers in Skirmish
Platform: PC

In skirmish when you are playing with Men or Elves, instead of building a fortress at the start of the game, build: a couple of farms, (a baracks if you are elves), (an archery range if you are men), and an armory. Now upgrade the armory to level 3 and purchase all upgrades, including fire arrows at archery range when playing Men. Now construct two battalions of archers, and fully upgrade them. Then what ever direction the enemies are coming from, build a well and a hero monument right next to each other, and place your archers just in front of them so they are getting leadership from both the well and the hero monument. Now your archers will be indestructable because the well will auto-heal them, and the hero monument will give them +50% damage and armor, plus they will gain experience twice as fast accelerating them to level 5 in no time. Now the enemy will be crushed whenever they attack!

The Best Elven Hero: Thranduil
Platform: PC

As you might know Thranduil is invisible all the time. But if enemy units or Fortress gets to close to him or he gets close them he will be uncoverd. First you want to kill wargs/trolls/wraiths/goblins with him, he doesnt kill building fast enough till level 7. once you have elven cloak get into defense mode. go into ther base and pick off thier enemies. when they get about a fortress length away click on elven cloak and dont attack anyone or move. you are now completley invisible. if they stay next to you send a battlion of swordsmen to lead them off and pick new location in base. Buildings besides fortresses will not discover you so your ok.

Assinate Enemy Heroes
Platform: PC

Create a hero and give them the disguise and assainate abilities (other abilities don't matter). Now train your custom hero and train a battalion of simple swordsmen and disgiuse your hero as one of them and the enemy will not attack your hero and then you can assainate the enemy hero that you choose.
