Unlock Dalmatian!While going on walks go through question marks. After a couple of other presents you will find a firemans hat. You will be able to buy a dalmatian at the dog kennel!

When your dog is learning a command, ex:lay down,roll over. A lightbulb icon appears in the top right corner of the screen. Click on the light bulb and record your command. If the dog accepts the command, a sketchy like lightbulb appears over their adorable little head. Grab the lightbulb with your stylus then drag it to the dogs mouth. And they will EAT THE LIGHTBULB like a treat!Note: This was found in the Japanese version. I am not sure about the North American version.
Most Money!!!!! in sellingFirst, You get 8,000 to 10,000 trainer points. Then, go on a walk and most of the time you may find a metoerite which is worth $150 but if you keep on walking your dog every 25 minutes youll find a promise ring whick can be sold for $1000.00

Walk without waiting 30 minutes!To do this trick, make sure you have an Asscessory on you. Select which dog you want to walk with. While planning the route for the dog, go through as many[?] blocks as possible. Once you have done that, make your way to the park, then back to your house. When your dog starts the walk, when it gets to the park change the accessory it's wearing into something else. After the game finishes saving, turn off your Nintendo DS. When you reboot you will notice that you have obtained all the items you did in the walk, and you can walk again with the same dog without the wait. Do this for present abuse!
Dog or present?When walking your dog, if he/she comes upon a ? mark, he/she will bark once, or twice. Most of the time, one bark means a present, two barks means another dog.
Easy way to find hidden presentsWhen going on a walk, watch the top screen. When the dog icon stops moving, there is a hidden present coming up shortly. Be cautious, however, as this is also true when garbage is coming up, or your pup simply stops by itself.

LinkingWhen linking copies of Nintendogs to unlock new breeds, keep in mind two things. You can only link with another Nintendo DS system once (and unlock a new breed). RC helicopterGo on a walk and you may find an RC helicopter as one of the question marks. Hold A to take off, the D-Pad to maneuver, and L to change the camera view. Note: They can be sold for $200.
Agility trainingGo to the gymnasium and train your dog on the agility course. It changes with each contest you win.
Disc contestGet a Boxer if you want speed. Get a German Shepherd if you want it to jump high.
Blue circles on the mapWhile on walks, blue circles represent places to go to the bathroom.
Longer walksMark out the path on your map, ending it at the house. If your last few steps ends at the house, wait 25 minutes, then your dog can go slighter further on the next walk. Note: Make sure to water your dog after each walk.

Hand standTeach your dog to lie down and beg. While lying down, tell it to beg and your dog should do a handstand.

Getting moneyGo on a lot of walks, getting as many question marks as you can along the way. Then, go to the second hand store and sell all the items you do not want or your dog(s) do not like. Some items are less then a dollar, but the amount adds up if you keep doing this.
Get A Different LayoutWhen deciding your route to take your dog for a walk, you possibly wont like the amount of ? mark boxes laid out. Well, hit the back arrow, and go into walk again. It'll be a layout of the map!

Losing contestsIn certain classes of contests, if you get below a certain score you will drop a class.
Walking your dogWhen walking your dog and it seems edgy, give the leash a little tug towards the way it is walking. The dog will start running. Also, if you want you can give it a tug while running upwards, it will do a jump.
Lucky CollarIf you puppy gives you a 'Lucky Collar' then let the puppy that gave it to you wear it and you will get better gifts from your dog, and win contest more easily and other cool stuff. DONT SELL IT! YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO!
Trainer PointsGet trainer points faster by going to the screen that you brush your dog in and but the brush on you dog. You get 1 point every 1 minute! If you leave it on over night then you should turn off the music, so you dont waste the battery and plug it into the charger!
Washroom StopsWhen you are out on a walk and you see blue dots, those are washroom stops for your dogs. The smaller one is poo and the bigger one is pee. So dont skip them!
Meanest DogWhen you are on a walk, and you go to a question mark, the meanest dog is Eclair, so get out of there as soon as you can and beware of Coby too! Charlie, and Buster and Logan(when you see him), are nice, and the other dogs are in between. Make sure your dogs is being nice to the other dogs and maybe they will all be nice to you!
Get Other DogsIf you don't like the dogs on any nintendo dogs game all you have to do is get more points. The points are located at go out, info, trainer info, trainer points, then look at how many points you have, the more, the more breeds of dogs.
Invisi-boneFor this to work, you have to have a good relationship one of your dogs. Keep petting him/her (or pet it while it's doing tricks alot) then a bone will appear. Drag it to the dog's mouth with your stylus(pen)and it will eat it!
Get Cheaper Dog SuppliesIf you take your dog for a walk you will see the pet supply store on the map. Well, draw your route to go there. They have cheaper prices than the pet supply store in the menu.
